Launching for Autumn Winter 20 is a standout piece created for a collaboration which sees Gloverall and the brand Très Bien work hand in hand. In 2006 Très Bien was founded by the Hogeman brothers and their friends Björn Lindén and Jakob Törnberg. Menswear retail experts and pioneers, focusing on streetwear. Specifically the 90’s sports culture and sportswear in general. They have a passion for fusing ideas together blending an edgy and contemporary streetwear vibe with a chic and sophisticated high fashion edge.  

In the beginning, they were a menswear fashion retailer, and now they have managed to grow and develop into a brilliantly talented high profile movement in fashion. Showcasing how fashion can embody inspirations from various aspects of culture, sportswear and music. They are stocked in many stores worldwide and also have a ready to wear line.

This collaboration like Très Biens brand mission fuses together and blurs the lines between classic and iconic heritage fashion from us at Gloverall and the high fashion streetwear inspired clothing which has come to be expected from Très Bien.

The Gloverall X Très Bien Checked Duffle Coat 

The perfect combination of an iconic style and classic fit whilst ensuring a streetwear edge is our Autumn Winter 20 collaboration piece, the Gloverall X Très Bien Checked Duffle Coat. This jacket has a similar silhouette and fit to that of our Mid Length Duffle. 

It reaches a medium length and has a cosy fixed shoulder cape with high-quality black binding around the edges. Unlike our classic mid-length duffles our new collaboration with Très Bien features patch pockets with pocket flaps. These also have bound edges. The pockets have enough space for all your belongings and the pocket flaps add some extra protection to keep your hands warm in the wintery weather.

Fabric & Trims 

The Gloverall X Très Bien Checked Duffle Coat is crafted from 80% wool and 20% polyamide mix. Using our iconic and classic Gloverall double-faced check backed fabric although for this collaboration piece we have used the check interior as the exterior print. Creating our iconic duffle coat style in a more street-wear manner providing a deconstructed edgy coat for Autumn Winter 20.

Our collaboration with Très Bien showcases a duffle coat with fully bound external seams, something more contemporary and different from out clean-cut internally lined or bound seam Duffle Coats. Such as our womenswear Dover Duffle Coat or the menswear Morris Duffle Coat. 

This brilliant AW20 Gloverall X Très Bien Checked Duffle Coat features our Gloverall classic jute rope and toggle fastening but with a twist. For this limited edition collaboration piece we have introduced dark fastenings to add a further modern and edgy look to this duffle. The originally wooden varnished or unvarnished toggles have been revamped and dyed black along with the usual cream-coloured jute rope also being dyed. Aesthetically creating a more streetwear, stand out and trendy look.
