Description

Inspired by the timeless durability of classic workwear, the Walter Jacket FC combines rugged functionality with a refined aesthetic. This style draws inspiration from the chore jacket, a staple in workwear history originally introduced in the late 19th century. Chore jackets were first worn by French laborers, known as bleu de travail, or "worker's blues," due to their characteristic blue colour. Designed for practicality, these jackets featured boxy silhouettes, durable fabrics, and multiple pockets for carrying tools, making them essential for farmers, factory workers, and craftsmen alike. Over time, the chore jacket evolved from a purely utilitarian garment into a fashion icon, appreciated for its blend of form and function.

The Walter Jacket FC honours this heritage by retaining the boxy silhouette and oversized chest pockets of the original Walter Jacket, perfectly balancing utility, and style. What sets this updated version apart from the original Walter Jacket is its fabric—a slightly lighter double-faced wool blend that offers a softer feel while maintaining the jacket's signature structure, making it a versatile and modern take on a classic workwear staple.
